Make Postscript / PDF Files Free

BS00145_.WMF (1712 bytes)You know, there are things that make me cringe, and one of them is getting ripped off. Sometimes you need to give someone an exactly copy of a document, and you don't want to have to worry if they have the right word processor, etc. Most people think you have to buy the retail version of Adobe Acrobat to do such a thing, but actually the power is right in your computer.

All you have to do is go and install a printer from your control panel, pick any postscript printer, like the HP Laserjet PS, and select the port as write to file/save to disk. when you are in a program where you want the output to be a PS file, just select that printer, give it a file name with a .ps as the extension, and you are done.

Now, if you must have a .pdf file, there is a website that will convert your .ps file into a .pdf file for free, however, most programs like Acrobat or Ghostscript will read .ps files without a problem.
