Lessons

Hunter/Jumper and Hunt-Seat Equitation lessons are available from our qualified on-site instructor.

Marissa Brzescinski has been riding horses for fifteen years, has shown successfully in numerous rated horse shows in the New York Metropolitan area.  She has ridden under the tutelage of notable instructors, such as Michael Page, Melanie Tenney, and Raoul de Leon.

Marissa's style of teaching emphasizes balance, feel, and fun!  She has been a student, and she knows that a confrontational style only frustrates; she prefers a relaxed learning environment based on communication between teacher and student to build confidence and ability.

Lessons are available with your own horse, or you may ride one of Dixieland Farm's outstanding lesson horses.  Our horses are chosen based on their excellent temperament, soundness, and ability.  Horses are available for shows and clinics as well.

We welcome students of all ability levels, from beginner to advanced.

Pricing for lessons are $40/hr or $140 for a block of four lessons on a school horse.   Each lesson is a private, one on one lesson unless special arrangements have been made.  Wedo accommodate small group lessons so you can learn with your family or friends.  Each group lesson is based on level of experience and are kept small.

Students riding their own horse pay $35/hr or $120 for a block of four lessons.
