Camp
Dixieland Farm is pleased to offer our annual Summer Horsemanship
Camp. Run in conjunction with the Mocksville/Davie Parks and
Recreation Department, our camps feature a week of horsey fun for boys
and girls ages 8-15. Students will learn all the ins and outs
of horsemanship, from grooming and tacking, to anatomy, nutrition, barn
management, blacksmithing, veterinary care and of course RIDING and
much much more!
Campers learn in a fun supportive environment from our highly trained
and qualified staff, and will be able to sample English riding (hunt
seat), western pleasure, gaming (barrel racing) and even bareback
riding! Every Friday we invite parents out to see what their
camper has learned. Also included in this full day camp are
arts and crafts, games, swimming and field trips.
Camp runs from drop off at the rec department at 7:30am until pickup at
5:30 pm. It's a full day of fun and excitement.
